Since its inception in 1973, Technonet Asia has gained international recognition as the only active South-South and North-South network. Indeed, Technonet is fortunate to have member organizations from countries that capture the diversity of the region and are in various stages of economic development. This places Technonet in a vantage position to respond to and even anticipate development needs of the region.

Some of our participating organizations which belong to the state enable Technonet to have government support and, at the same time, allow us to move decisively, efficiently and effectively within the region. These "people-to-people" contacts help to make networking activities a success.

During the past 25 years, we have made significant achievements in facilitating technology transfer, entrepreneurship development, industrial information and industrial extension program activities targeting development support institutions and enterprises.
